ADHD diagnosis
An NHS Right to Choose ADHD Assessment Service
How can we help?
We provide ADHD assessments and follow-up care for adults in England.
We are an approved NHS Right to Choose provider. This means your GP can refer you to us, and the assessment is funded by the NHS.
We do not accept self-referrals.
What we do:
- ADHD assessments for adults
- Medication
- Reports written in clear language
- Advice and guidance around lifestyle and available supporting services
What is ADHD?
ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a condition that affects the brain.
It can cause problems with concentration, hyperactivity and difficulty controlling impulses.
What is Right to Choose (RTC)?
Right to Choose is an NHS pathway that allows you to select a different provider for your ADHD assessment.
You are eligible if:
-
You are registered with a GP in England
-
Your GP agrees that an ADHD assessment is clinically appropriate
-
The provider (such as us) holds a contract with an NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB)
There is no private fee.
The NHS covers the full cost of the assessment and follow up appointments.
If you require medicines, and are not exempt from paying for prescriptions, then you may have to pay the NHS fee for medicines when you collect at your local community pharmacy.
How it works:
-
You ask your GP to refer you to the Healthcare Central London under Right to Choose.
-
Your GP sends the referral to us.
-
We contact you to confirm we have got your referral and set you up on our system.
-
You complete our pre-assessment forms – these must be completed before we book an appointment.
-
We book your assessment.
-
You complete the assessment.
-
You receive a a written summary of your assessment (a diagnostic report) and recommendations.
Please note, we can only take referrals from a GP.
To make it as easy as possible to use our service, we’ve created a letter you can send to your GP to ask them to make a referral.
Use our GP referral letter here.
What happens at the assessment?
Our assessments are online or in-person with a consultant psychiatrist, or specialist ADHD Clinical Assessor.
