Patient Participation

Groups (PPGs)

What is a PPG?

A Patient Participation Group brings together volunteer patients and carers with representatives of the GP Practice to discuss how the Practice is run and what improvements could be made for everyone’s benefit. The overall aim of a PPG is to ensure that the patient voice is heard and improving health is at the heart of everything the Practice does.

Who can join a PPG?

Any patient can join the Patient Participation Group at the GP Practice where they are registered. Patients of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join so that the PPG is representative of the Practice population.

What is the HCL PPG?

Healthcare Central London is committed to providing community-led care. To achieve this, we need to understand the real-time needs of local residents when it comes to their health and wellbeing. By engaging with patients and carers who volunteer to join our PPG and discussing the services and experiences offered by the Federation and our member Practices, we can make improvements and better serve our communities.

Who can join the HCL PPG?

Anyone over the age of 18 who is registered with a GP Practice who is a member of Healthcare Central London (find your Practice here) or who uses the HCL-led services at South Westminster Centre for Health can join the HCL PPG. We can provide interpreters at our PPG meetings.

How do I join the HCL PPG?

Please email hcl.ppg@nhs.net to register your interest and we’ll get back to you within three working days. We look forward to hearing from you.

When is the next PPG?

The next HCL PPG is on Tuesday, July 9th at 5.30pm to 7pm. Please email hcl.ppg@nhs.net to register your interest in joining. More information on the agenda will follow soon.
